Psychic Reading Tips.
Myth # 1 - Psychics can cast spells and curses on you or another person.
False. A psychic receives impression and then shares that information with you. A psychic can be aware of energy and try to send some forth to you. It is up to you whether you want to receive that energy or not.
Myth # 2 - A psychic can read my mind.
False. A psychics job is to touch in with your vibrational frequency. You emanate out a resonance or an electromagnetic energy which has a vibrational frequency. This energy has charges or particles in it. Some stronger than others. The psychic will pick up the strongest emanation which may or may not be what you are thinking. Most of the time it is something other than what you are thinking that has a stronger charge to it. Think of it like Schultz’s cartoon character Pig Pen. The energy is all around you.
Myth # 3 - A psychic can read palms.
False. Some psychics are specialized in looking at the palm and giving you information based on what they see. A palm reader has memorized most of the possibilities of what the lines on your palm mean. Some of the reading can be intuitive. Palm reading is a lot like Astrology in that it is learned from a book. It may seem very accurate and it many cases it is. Someone put together the consistent information from somewhere. It is accurate up to a point. Then it is up to the psychic to add their intuitive impressions to what they logically know about palmistry.
Myth # 4 - A psychic gets the information from the Tarot cards.
False. If this were true then the psychic is memorizing the cards and using logic to impart the information. Tarot cards are used as triggers. They remind the psychic of signs and symbols or impressions that they know in their own life. Then they transfer that information to you. They don’t really need the cards. They are using them because they like to and it is their specialty. Some psychics use the cards as a distraction for the client. The client can be easily scared if information is being brought up that there is no possible way they can know that. The cards give the client a comfort that the information came from the cards.
Myth # 5 - A client can project what they are thinking and filter the reading.
False. For the most part a psychic will be able to “see through” what is being projected. It is possible for a client to project so strongly that nothing else is being picked up. This is rare.
Myth # 6 - A psychic will be able to predict how many children you are going to have.
False. It is possible to pick up in your vibration how many children you may want to have or are physically able to have. You can change that choice at any time. These are variable that cannot be determined. A psychic may tell you suggestions of what could happen. The rest is up to you. They cannot decide that for you.
Myth # 7 - A psychic can predict the future.
False. Nothing is fixed in stone. A psychic can get strong impression of the future. An event or happening could very well be possible. You have free will to change things at any time. A psychic can only tell you “possibilities” for the future. You have the final choice.
Myth # 8 - A psychic can tell you when you are going to die.
False. A psychic can suggest how long you may live. Only you have the power to choose when you pull your essence and pass over. This can be changed at any time.
Myth # 9 - A psychic can bring you good fortune.
False. A psychic can tell you about good fortune coming your way. You have more power over this than you think you do. It is in direct accordance with your vibrational frequency. The more positive and at peace you are, the lighter your vibration is. The light vibrational frequency is like a magnet and attracts “like”, similar or same energy vibrations.
Myth # 10 - Psychics are born with the “gift”.
Everyone is born with the “gift”. Using your psychic ability sometimes takes practice or training. Some people have a greater awareness of it at an earlier age.
Myth # 11 - The client should not tell the psychic anything because it will filter the information the psychic will give the client. False. When you hold back any inclination of what you want to know or think the psychic could pick up, you produce a block, barrier or filter that makes it difficult or nearly impossible for the psychic to pick up information about you. This applies to any level of expertise a psychic has. The psychic can be excellent and if you don’t want to tell them anything then the psychic gets blocked from being able to read information about you.
Myth # 12 - A psychic will know what I’m asking.
A psychic can be extremely good and still not know exactly what you want to know if you don’t clarify it. There are many thoughts that reside in your energy field. A psychic picks up those thoughts around the subject you want to know and miss the key factor you are asking about. Ex: If I ask how do I take care of a baby? There are many different answers. The questions needs to be refined. How do I know what to feed a baby? Taking care of a baby could mean many different things to many different people. The psychic needs to know more clearly what you want to know or the answer given back may be as vague as the question asked.
Myth # 13 - A psychic shouldn’t ask questions to clarify the reading. They are psychic they should know what they are getting! False. Sometimes a psychic will get signs and symbols they don’t understand or are not sure how to relate them to the client. The psychic will ask questions to be sure of the information they are delivering. Sometimes a psychic will get a sign or symbol that is more significant to the client. The psychic merely want the true meaning of the response to get delivered properly.
Myth # 14 - Client should ask the psychic what the client’s mother’s maiden name is to verify the psychic accuracy! False. This puts up a very definite block for the psychic. If you have worries, concerns, doubts, or mistrust about the psychic then you are blocking the information the psychic can retrieve about you. A psychic can get such detailed information if you are 100% open and trusting. Otherwise the level of accuracy goes down from there. The reading is done with the combination of the psychics energy as well as your own. If you doubt then it is putting a handicap on the psychics ability.
Myth # 15 - Asking psychic’s credentials will let you know if they are any good.
False. Psychics are not required certification or any training. There are some schools for mediumship and other certification. This does not mean they are good. This just means they have a piece of paper to say they have done some training. Some psychics have no training and are extremely good.
Myth # 16 - If a psychic tells the client basic things that the client already know then this is not the psychics intuition. False. The psychic is telling you impressions they are getting. If they sound logical and very basic, that may be the very thing you need to hear. Some great advice can be the very principals that are so basic it doesn’t sound like it should be the intuitive answer. Ex: “Relax more” is a very basic simple intuitive response. Maybe the client really needs to relax more and that is why they are anxious all the time.
1. Picking a psychic.
Ask a friend or acquaintance. Many people already know a psychic. Referrals are usually the best route to take. Just remember the person who is referring the psychic. They might think the psychic is really good. For you the psychic might not connect well. It is like any profession, everyone has their preference. That doesn’t mean that person is good for you.
Magazines and publications now advertise psychics. Call several before choosing one. Some of the better ones don’t advertise at all.
Psychic fairs.
2. Check out who you are being referred to.
Call up the psychic and ask them some questions about how they do their work. Maybe ask them how they got started. Get a feel for if this person is someone you are going to want to work with. Asking for credentials is not always going to give you a feel for the person’s abilities. There are no required psychic certifications at this time. Asking how long they have been reading will be a better question. You need to be comfortable with who you are working with or it could affect the quality of your reading. Asking for a “sample” reading is like asking a physician for a “free” psychical to see if they are any good. Most psychics value their time and choose not to give away free advice. If they gave away free advice all the time then they wouldn’t be in business that long.
3. Ask the cost.
A good psychic will usually charge the going rate. Expect to pay $50-$75 or more for a one hour reading. With all the 900 phone lines $1 per minute is considered cheap. Each psychic charges differently. Some charge per minute. Some charge per session. Ask what the price includes. Some psychics require a minimum amount of time such as 15 minutes. If you don’t know how much time you need then look for someone who charges per minute or will charge a fee for the time you actually used.
4. How can you pay this?
Most psychics will take a check. There are many that will want cash. When dealing with a psychic over the phone, you will probably need a charge card or debit card. Some psychics provide checks by phone. You have to trust who it is you are working with. Only give out this information if you feel comfortable with the person you are working with. Like any merchant, psychics have to qualify to carry services for Master Card, VISA, American Express and Discover.
5. Tape recording the session.
A good psychic usually does not mind tape recording the session. Some psychics are sensitive to energy and would not like the mechanical device of the recorder interrupting the psychic connection. Be cautious of a psychic that does not want you to record the session. If you get a good feel for them, there may be valid reasons why they do not want the session taped.
6. Be open.
Remember the psychic reading is a combination of your energy and the psychics energy. If you are having a bad day, are doubtful, or don’t trust, these things can filter the quality of the reading.
